Personal profile
A third generation Atlantan, I attended Duke University for my undergraduate degree and then completed my law degree at Emory University School of Law in 1970. I am a member of the State Bar of Georgia and Atlanta Bar Association and active in the Fiduciary Law, and Probate and Estates Sections of those organizations.
I have served on the Board of Directors of a small Atlanta Credit Union and as President and Board Member of a private elementary school in Atlanta.
In the middle of my thirty-three year law practice, I became in-house Counsel to my family's plastics manufacturing business, Allied Plastics, Inc., eventually becoming its President. This 12-year stint gave me hands-on knowledge of the estate and small business planning which is now a core element of my practice.
I have taught classes in Estate Planning and Wealth Transfer for several Atlanta financial planners.
